I went to California to visit a friend for the weekend. (I ended up getting to see a friend on the way there, and another on my way back) :)
Here are pictures of some of my meals. I had some B E A U T I F U L meals that I didn't get pictures of :( -because quite frankly I felt like a weirdo taking pictures of my food out of the comfort of my own home.
Friday
Breakfast at Courtney's before leaving for the airport. Oatmeal w/ cinnamon, banana, strawberries.

I ate an apple on the plane

Lunch at Rachel's in C a l i f o r n i a. We made wraps. The tortillas were multigrain, wholewheat...? Can't recall- but in the middle: turkey, lettuce, avocado, tomato, cheese.
Sugar snap peas on the side and mango slices (not shown).

Dinner:
We went to the Cheesecake Factory
I had the Thai Lettuce Wraps (photo via flickr) YUM!

And then we got some desserts to go. -The Black-out cake, key-lime cheesecake, & the german chocolate cake/cheesecake. Wowza. I did make myself sick.

Workout: Was a 'Biggest Looser Weight-Loss Yoga' video that Rachel had. It was a good one!

Saturday:
Breakfast:
3 egg whites, onion & tomato (fresh from the garden!) avocado slices, salsa on 3 mini corn tortillas. So yummy.

Snack: grapefruit, protein shake (water/protein)

Lunch: Was a turkey Subway sandwhich on wheat, w/ oil & vinegar, pretty much all the veggie toppings.

Dinner: Spaghetti w/ red sauce, tomato wedges & avocado slices, brie cheese.

Workout:
5-6mi run on lovely Victoria street w/ orange blossoms abundant. Mmmmmm.

Sunday:
Breakfast:
Wholegrain pancakes, honey dew, protein powder & water

Lunch:
This was amazingly beautiful. I wish, wish I would've taken a picture. We had a feast.
Grilled chicken breast w/ fresh grilled green chili on top (divine), from the garden: swiss chard, squash/zucchini. Also: brown rice/wild rice, and sweet potato fries (baked).

Dinner:
The rest of my chicken breast & green chili, nuts and dried fruit.

Monday:
Steel Cut Oats w/ berries and banana

I met a friend for lunch after I arrived in Phx. We went to Pita Jungle. I got the Mediterranean Chicken Salad.

Snacks: rice crackers and pretzel sticks from Trader Joe's

Dinner:
Protein shake:
1 C water, 2 tsp dark cocoa powder, banana, spoonful of peanut butter, 1 scoop vanilla whey powder, handful (1-2C) spinach. Doesn't look great -but it is! :)

Workout:
I was able to get a run in before we headed for the airport. Probably 3.5m and then I did my lunge/squat workout.... the 8 sets of 20....

It IS, yummy -it almost tastes naughty. Wish I could say I came up with it! I would've never thought to put cocoa powder in...
