I went to Mesa for a wedding Friday afternoon.

Breakfast:
Oatmeal w/ 1/2 banana, strawberries, raisins, milk

Lunch:
Leftover green curry w/ brown rice & lentils

Dinner was at the reception - lots of veggies, fruit and some pulled pork. Stayed away from the MASS dessert table... It was tough though.

Workout:
10 min. warm-up on treadmill - 'random' setting -6.5. I was dying.
weights-
3 sets of:
(20) wall balls
(20) kettle bell swings
3 sets of:
(12) bent over rows, 17 lbs
(12) dumbbell shoulder press, 17 lbs.
3 sets of:
(12) bicep curls w/ 45lb bar
(20) calf machine -240lb
(20) hip abductor -120 lb
3 sets of:
(100) rotations w/ jump rope (whew!)
(15) push-ups

Saturday I had a fabulous bowl of oatmeal w/ blue berries & raisins w/ almond milk -my dad blended up almonds & water in his vita-mix... it was so yummy.

Lunch -went to Crackers w/ my Dad and had the pear salad -Spinach, pears, feta cheese, carrots....can't remember all the veggies -but it was yummy!

Then I started my 'fast'... so no dinner to report.

Workout:

5 mile run down the canal first thing when I woke up -talk about memory lane!! I loved it.

How do you manage to stay away from the desert? I always seem to justify way too much desert on the basis that I run a lot. That's my problem!

I've been doing a 12 week challenge -hence the reason for staying away from sweets -but this is my LAST week -so we'll see. Usually though the fruit I have w/ dinner takes care of that craving. I do make dessert on Sunday's though!

I think as long as you FEEL good -do whatever works for you...sweets or not. That's my barometer at least.
