We had a neighborhood BBQ today and I brought: Grilled Fruit Salad. It was a hit. I saw it in a magazine and new I had to try it... But then I lost my Magazine and had to go off memory. Here's what I did:
-4 black plums, halved
-2 nectarines, halved -mine weren't coming off the pit nicely, so I cut them in slices
-3-4 peaches, halved - "......"
-1 pint of fresh strawberries -halved
Warm up grill and turn to med-hi. -I drizzled olive oil over the fruit - the strawberries, nectarines & peaches I put on skewers, the plum halves I put face down on the grill. Let them cook for a few min. & turn over - total time about 5 or 6 min. Then I cut up the fruit in bite size chunks, added 1 C of fresh blueberries and about 1.5-2C green grapes.
Then I drizzled (this is approx.) mix: 3/4C sour cream, 2 tsp honey, 2 tsp lemon juice, 2 tsp. cinnamon over it all and turned it over. DIVINE! And everyone loved it! (And can you believe I DIDN'T take a picture!??)
